YHeartyNY? With or without Big Foot – Stoop Sales are SICK!
Spring, Summer or Fall, Saturday or Sunday – stoop sales are SWEET! What’s better than a stoop sale when the weather is good and you’re walking around your neighborhood? Not much! Well…block parties, flea markets and street fairs are pretty great too. Stoop sales are great places to buy other people’s garbage. Don’t you want someone’s old ashtray or bowling trophy? How about mismatched Dukes of Hazard (not so) collectible cups? FUN STUFF!
If you get REALLY into the stoop sale scene, you can put your crap (and the junk you already bought from others’) on your own stoop and sell it too. Pretty great huh?! Hopefully the cycle of trash transference continues and the sales become SUPER STOOP SALES! That’s when a group of neighbors pour all of their crap onto their stoops at the same time. Walking down a block like this feels a bit like walking through an outdoor Salvation Army or Goodwill – cool stuff huh?
