What’s more NY than a track by The Beastie Boys or one from NAS? What about one from The Beastie Boys featuring NAS? “Too Many Rappers” that’s some effin NY ish if I’ve ever heard any! We found this post on hypebeast that talks about the song and the surprise performance of it at Bonnaroo. I got a weird feeling that unless Nas is in court fighting Kelis then we will be seeing and hearing this track live at All Points West July 31st… pretty excited about that! The recording is week and the track sounds like it’s unfinished but it’s a good start… MCA, Adrock, Mike D and Nas layed down some tight writtens with a mix of new flows and old school influences. The beat is classic Beastie Boys with Rock, Hip Hop and some Techno type influence (I think), no matter what you describe it as – it’s HARD! There’s a link in the hypebeast article to get the track – do it…. New album coming soon – yet another reason to Heart NY!
